SmartMAP.com was created by its parent company, Thompson Mapping Systems, Inc. (TMS), originally of Dover, Delaware, in 1995.  TMS has been creating maps since 1977.  Through SmartMAP.com, TMS is a leader in computerized Land Use Planning and Geographic  Information Systems (GIS) and Computer Mapping.  SmartMAP.com has created and hosted Internet Mapping sites known as SmartMAP for the Delaware Agricultural Lands Preservation Foundation, Kent County and Sussex County, Delaware, and the City of New Castle.

Since its inception, SmartMAP.com has a long history of evolving along with the latest and innovative technology.  Today, SmartMAP.com has diversified into three distinct areas of expertise:

• SmartMAP GIS continues the GIS, Computerized Mapping and Land Use Planning originally under the TMS and SmartMAP.com umbrella.  We continue to Preserve Farmland, create School District and Election District  Maps, Parcel Mapping, Database creation, etc.

• SmartMAP Marketing does Internet Marketing for Local Business and other Organizations using the latest Internet Technology.  We create Websites that bring more customers to our clients.  We get our clients listed on the first page of Google and other Search Engines.  We get our clients’ shown on Google Maps and many other sites such as SuperPages.com.  SmartMAP.com Marketing Services and Techniques are far more affordable and effective than conventional “Old Fashion” marketing.

• SmartMAP Design offers Design Services using state of the art technology.  Design Services include Residential and Commercial Conceptual Design, as well as 3D Visualization and Renderings.
